Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Water more often in hot weather and less often in winter. If leaves start to wilt your plant is thirsty, do not let the plant dry out. If the leaves go yellow, it may be overwatered, check the soil and adjust your watering accordingly.

Poinsettias originate from Mexico, so they enjoy a warm environment and tropical surroundings. They will thrive in part shade outdoors or bright indirect light indoors. If they are grown indoors, they will require 6 hours of indirect sunlight a day. They can be kept outside but keep them away from strong winds. During the winter, bring the Poinsettia inside to prevent frost.
