Kalanchoes don't need a lot of water, during spring and summer they need to be watered roughly once every 7-10 days. Feel in the dirt to check the moisture level, if the first 10cm of soil is dry, it is okay to water again. Avoid watering the crown of the plant or the flowers as this can cause rot.
In winter, water every 2-3 weeks, checking that the soil is drying out enough between watering and that water is still draining through the bottom of the pot. Shriveled leaves mean the plant is being underwatered, overwatering will show up in yellowing leaves.

Place them in a warm sunny room but be careful of too much direct sunlight on their leaves as this can burn their leaves. They need plenty of light and warmth to bloom, 6-8 hours of bright light will encourage blooming during autumn to spring.
When kept outdoors, they will need protection from afternoon sun as it is too harsh. A location with morning sun will allow the plant to thrive.
